Baby Praying Mantises + Bronze Fennel
I almost didn't notice them, because Himself did a bunch of weed whacking out there yesterday and there was debris clinging to the fennel from that, but when one of the pieces of "debris" moved, I took a closer look and counted almost a dozen baby praying mantises, each about an inch long, on my bronze fennel. And I smelled like black licorice by the time I finished looking through there. Cool!

Stung Update
Himself was out doing some touchup mowing, and a wasp came after him. Sure enough, there's a nest INSIDE the mower.

Spider
Not the clearest photo, but I think it's clear enough for you to see that I'm expecting spider babies.

Do You See What I See?
I always pick these guys up and relocate them to a different flowerbed whenever I come across them because I have a deep dread of accidentally stepping on (and squishing) the invisible little buggers - they tend to freeze and remain perfectly still (unlike the frogs, who dive out of sight) until the last possible moment when they realize you've already seen them and are about to catch them. So if they won't move when I DO see them, what happens when I don't? Squish. Haven't done it yet, and don't plan to. So they get a free ride to another bed if they're where I'm trying to work.

Mad Mama
Almost anywhere in my yard I choose to work, there's a mad mama robin raising hell because I'm closer than she'd like to her nest. My phone picks up background noise so badly it's hard to tell that the insistent repetitive alarmed chirp was 10x louder than any of the other bird noises in the yard. It almost hurts my ears.

Bathtime
Pardon the fact that the pond hasn't yet had any maintenance this spring, but it has certainly been in active use as a bathtub.
