Need to investigate recipes. Planted for sentimental reasons, but it's going CRAZY. Which I guess is what happens when there aren't six kids eating it down to bare earth at every opportunity. That's one little lonesome clump of Bee Balm on the far side - I'm hoping it will reseed itself and take over most of the empty space, like the bee balm under my apple trees did.

Baby Praying Mantises + Bronze Fennel

I almost didn't notice them, because Himself did a bunch of weed whacking out there yesterday and there was debris clinging to the fennel from that, but when one of the pieces of "debris" moved, I took a closer look and counted almost a dozen baby praying mantises, each about an inch long, on my bronze fennel. And I smelled like black licorice by the time I finished looking through there. Cool!
