Weeds

I took 4 carts full like this out of my overgrown (former compost pile) bed and transferred them into the newer compost piles between the pine trees in the back.
Implements.
What the...? I have no idea how this got into my compost pile. We certainly don't keep it in the house, and I think everyone I know uses either the blue stuff or the yellow stuff. Can I still be considered organic? ;)

Renovated

The can says wait 24 hours for it to dry, so I figured I'd wait til tomorrow to flip it over and paint the underside.

Well That Was Anticlimactic

I found these mystery growths on my grapevine the other day, so I logged into my favorite gardening forum to ask about it. I got one response, suggesting that I cut them open to see what was inside. So after my vivid imagination spilled forth many visions of alien critters pouring out when I pierced one with a knife, I went out and cut a few in half today after removing the entire section from the plant. Nothing there, at least not that I could see, but they seemed smaller, so I wonder if whatever it was already left. If I see them again, I'll deal with them more promptly.

More Veggie Garden

This side of this bed collapsed the summer before last, so I shored it up with some concrete blocks. They'll all need something eventually, but I'm not entirely sure I'm happy with this solution.

Legumes - peas and pinto beans

Path between herbs and strawberries and more herbs and flowers. I'm not sure what the mystery purple flower is (now fading) but I think the big one is baby's breath.

Progress

I've been busy! This is what it looked like a few days ago.

Mid Renovation

I didn't have enough paint to finish, but I just wanted to get an idea of how it would look.
