Welcome!

This blog serves several purposes. First of all, I've never before successfully managed to maintain a garden journal of any kind. That means every season, I'm left scratching my head, trying to remember where *that* came from, what *that* is, and how I managed to do *that* last time. I'm hoping that the convenience of being able to upload from my phone will help me stick with this, unlike all the other halfhearted attempts I've made at keeping some sort of record. Second, it's a way to show my yard and garden projects off to my friends who are interested in that sort of thing without flooding the majority who aren't interested with garden burbling. Third, I expect it to feed my motivation, and give me incentive to do great things, or at least maintain a relatively weed-free spot to post photos from. Last, but not least, it'll be a catch-all for garden/food/etc... related thoughts - book reviews, recipes, articles, etc... so I can find them later.

99% of the posts here start out as photos and/or videos uploaded from my phone, mostly via email, but occasionally (mostly in the case of videos longer than about 10 seconds) by USB transfer to my netbook. You may stop in to find the most recent entries devoid of text, tags, or formatting, which means they were uploaded and I haven't had time to sit down at a computer to edit them since then.

You should be able to click any photo or video to see a larger version of it. You should be able to leave a comment if you're so inclined, so feel free to tell me what you'd like to see more of!
